The artwork of Constance J. Vogell of Westbrook was featured on the cover of the Hartford Courant’s iTowns Shoreline Edition on Sunday, May 29, 2011. The image is based on a photograph of a cowboy who continues to herd cattle on his ranch at the age of 70. The original artwork is oil on canvas. ” I submitted the painting via email more than a year ago, with little expectation that it would be chosen for the cover of the iTowns Section of the Sunday Courant. I was thrilled to see it in last Sunday’s paper and have been pleased by the number of people who have contacted me to congratulate me about it, ” said Vogell. Connie is a Paralegal who has been with Suisman Shapiro since 1998, supporting Attorneys Lawrence J. Greenberg. She also assists other members of the firm in need of probate work.
Connie graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. She earned her Paralegal Certificate from Hartford College for Women (now the University of Hartford). Connie has also completed various courses at the University of Connecticut School of Social Work, and has studied art at the University of Connecticut, the University of Hartford, Old Lyme Academy of Arts, the Guilford Art Center and Anne Culver’s Studio 404 of Guilford, CT. Additionally, she holds various certifications for attendance at probate seminars sponsored by the State of CT Office of the Probate Administrator, the Judge’s Institute and the National College of Probate Judges.
Ms. Vogell served as the Probate Judge for sixteen years at the former Westbrook Probate Court.
