Michael A. Hespeler is a Director who specializes in workers’ compensation law and general liability. Attorney Hespeler focuses on the representation of injured workers in both State and Federal Worker’s Compensation forums.
Attorney Hespeler graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2008. He received his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2012. Attorney Hespeler is admitted to practice law in Connecticut and Massachusetts, as well as in the United States District Court – District of Connecticut.
In 2018, the Judges of the United States District Court recognized and thanked Attorney Hespeler for his dedication and service by providing effective representation, pro bono, to indigent persons with matters before the Court. Attorney Hespeler has also been recognized by his peers by inclusion in the Connecticut Super Lawyers Rising Stars List in 2021-2022 in the fields of Workers’ Compensation and Civil Litigation. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Only 2.5 percent of lawyers in Connecticut are selected to the Rising Stars list.
Prior to joining Suisman Shapiro, Attorney Hespeler was a Partner with Solimene & Secondo, LLP in Meriden, CT. He was raised in Groton, CT, and graduated from Fitch High School in 2004. Attorney Hespeler currently resides with his family in Old Saybrook, CT. He is active in the community, volunteers with youth sports, and is on the Board of Directors for Old Saybrook Little League.
