ATTORNEY ROGER SCULLY RETURNS TO SUISMAN SHAPIRO AS A DIRECTOR

Suisman Shapiro is pleased to announce that Attorney Roger Scully has rejoined the firm as a Director, focusing his practice primarily on personal injury law. He represents individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of motorists, property owners, and medical professionals in both Connecticut State and Federal Courts. An accomplished trial attorney, Attorney Scully has extensive experience handling complex civil and criminal matters from inception through settlement or verdict.

A native of East Lyme, Connecticut, Attorney Scully earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont in 2008, where he was a member of the men’s varsity soccer team. He went on to graduate cum laude from Western New England University School of Law in 2013. While in law school, he earned the C.A.L.I. Award for Excellence in Advanced Research and Legal Writing and served as Note Editor for the Western New England Law Review. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Attorney Scully began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney (Prosecutor) in Norfolk County, Massachusetts. He first joined Suisman Shapiro in 2015, where he practiced until 2021 before accepting an in-house position with a large international corporation. Although the experience was valuable, he missed the opportunity to work closely with members of his community and was welcomed back to the firm in 2025.

“I am thrilled to be again practicing law with my colleagues at Suisman Shapiro,” said Attorney Scully. “It is with great pride and humility that I return to serve the people of my home state.”

“We are very pleased that Roger has chosen to return to Suisman Shapiro,” said Eric Callahan, Managing Director of the firm. “His strong legal acumen and substantial courtroom experience make him a tremendous asset to our team.”

Since 2017, Attorney Scully has been recognized by Super Lawyers ®as a “Rising Star” in the area of personal injury law; no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state are chosen for this honor. He has also been recognized by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Lawyers in America – “Ones to Watch.”

Attorney Scully lives in Mystic with his fiancée and daughter. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, a good book, and cheering on his favorite sports teams, especially UConn Basketball.
