Suisman Shapiro Partners with The Haitian Health Foundation
Suisman Shapiro Attorneys at Law located in the Courtney Building at 2 Union Plaza, New London, is partnering with the Haitian Health Foundation of Norwich, Connecticut and Jeremie, Haiti, to collect desperately needed donations for the people of Haiti who are suffering from the tragic effects of the recent earthquake. Cash donations are greatly needed to purchase medical supplies, provide shelter and offer assistance for a multitude of needs. Additionally, there is a shortage of protein-rich foods, baby formula, soap and other items which will be shipped to Haiti in the next few months, as soon as logistically possible. The need for this impoverished country is long-term, and the relief effort will be ongoing.
Below are links to a video appeal by Dr. Jeremiah Lowney of The Haitian Health Foundation, and a description of organization’s mission “pre-earthquake.” Please take a few minutes to watch them.
The organization’s web site can be viewed at www.haitianhealthfoundation.org .
The Courtney Building is located directly across the street from the New London Train Station and can be accessed via State Street. Beginning Monday, January 25, collection bins for food donations will be been placed in the Plaza level lobby which is open to the public during business hours from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. If you would like to make a cash donation, please make checks payable to The Haitian Health Foundation and leave them at the Suisman Shapiro‘s Reception Desk on the 2nd floor; you will receive a receipt via US Mail in the next few weeks for tax purposes.
