Attorney Raymond Baribeault is Appointed to Eastern Connecticut Association of Realtors Commercial Committee

Attorney Raymond Baribeault was recently appointed to the Eastern Connecticut Association of Realtors Commercial Committee. The Commercial Committee serves to educate the community on commercial real estate matters.

The Eastern Connecticut Association of Realtors (ECAR) provides services to over 1,000 realtor and affiliate members and other real estate related interests. In providing these services, they accomplish certain objectives, such as:

  • Promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct in the real estate profession as expressed in the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS ®.
  • Uniting those engaged in the recognized branches of the real estate profession for the purpose of exerting a beneficial influence upon the profession and related interests.
  • Furthering the interests of home and other real property ownership.
  • Providing a unified medium for real estate owners and those engaged in the real estate profession whereby their interests may be safeguarded and advanced.

ECAR has jurisdictional responsibility for REALTORS ® in approximately the eastern third of the state. Their members have tasked them with providing certain information to the public. The purpose in providing this information is to allow a prospective buyer and seller to be better prepared in accomplishing their task.

Raymond L. Baribeault, Jr. is a Director who concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, real estate and bankruptcies. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association (1989) and the Rhode Island Bar Association (1991). Mr. Baribeault received his B.S. in Finance from the University of Connecticut, Magna Cum Laude, 1986 and his J.D. from the Vermont Law School, Magna Cum Laude, 1989. While at Vermont Law School Mr. Baribeault was an Editor of the Vermont Law Review. He is a member of the Connecticut, New London and Rhode Island Bar Associations. He also is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the New England Land Title Association.

Mr. Baribeault resides in his hometown of Norwich, Connecticut where he serves on the Boards of Directors for Madonna Place, Inc. and The Otis Library. He is the Chairman of the Norwich Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission. Mr. Baribeault is also an active member of the Norwich Rotary Club.
