Jeanette Dostie is a Director who joined the Suisman Shapiro Attorneys-at-Law team in 1996. She concentrates her practice in Wills, Trusts, Probate and Medicaid Planning. She has a wide experience in estate planning, ranging from simple wills to complex estate plans designed to maximize estate tax savings for clients, and special needs trusts through which families can provide for their disabled loved ones without reducing eligibility for public benefits programs. Attorney Dostie represents clients probating decedent’s estates in both Connecticut and Rhode Island, and has experience administering insolvent estates so as to maximize recovery for the surviving spouse and family members.
Attorney Dostie graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law with honors, and is a graduate of Brown University. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut and Rhode Island. Attorney Dostie is a past member of the Board of Directors of The Child Adoption Resource Association and a past member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut. She has served on the grant committee for the Women and Girls Fund of the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut.
